Years spent working with artists, designers, makers, educators and researchers have broadened James Thomas’s expertise, originally from the field of software development, James Thomas is now capable of work throughout the spectrum of digital artifice, from pure code to physical manufacture. His key interests lie in producing beautiful digital artefacts with atypical user interaction, ideally with a social good driving them and producing software to aid the creative & craft practitioner. However James can usually be found directly supporting other makers in diverse areas such as electronics hardware & software, software design, coding and debugging on platforms from microcontroller to cloud, digital fabrication from design through CAD to realisation (specialising in 3D printing and laser cutting), and much besides.
